Obituary for Margaret Kaijuka

OBITUARY

Mrs. Margaret “Jane” Mushabe Akiiki Kaijuka, daughter of the late John Munyampeta and Winifred Nyirakanyana was born June 19th, 1961 in Entebbe Uganda. She suddenly departed from us on Saturday, November 28th, 2020 at her home in Herndon, VA due to cardiovascular complications.

Margaret started her education at Kiwafu primary school and graduated from Nkumba College with a Secretariat Diploma. Her career in service started in the customs department at Entebbe airport where she met the love of her life John Ham Mwesigwa Rwakasoro Ateenyi Kaijuka. Margaret and John were united in holy matrimony, and their adventure in life together took them to many parts of Uganda and allowed Margaret to have a colorful career.

Margaret was a woman of all seasons. She embraced life’s good moments and handled life’s low moments gracefully. Margaret could do anything, fit anywhere and with anyone because she was a people person and a hard worker. While living in Uganda, Margaret dabbled in farming, business and worked with orphans in UWESO. Margaret moved to America in 2006 and built a career in hospitality. She worked at the Ritz Carlton in Washington DC for over 12 years.

Margaret professed her love for Christ Jesus and became a born-again Christian in 2005. She died in the Lord. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Ceaser Kaijuka, Vanessa “Kikazi” Kaijuka, Patrick Kaijuka, Marjorie Kaijuka and Racheal Karungi Kaijuka. Daughters- in- law: Peace Nakayiza and Joyce Nakimbugwe. Son-in-law: Dr. Stefan Strom Svendsen. Grandchildren: Ham Rwakasoro, Angela Bujwera, Henry Nyakahuma, Jane Margaret Mushabe, Joshua Lukakamwa, Jeremiah Lukakamwa and Christian Mwesigwa Svendsen. Sisters and brothers: William Kamugisha, Hellen Kimpaye, Viola Bonabana and Ronald Nkunda. A host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, friends, and the entire Kaijuka and Munyampeta family.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, 12:00 p.m at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia.
