Obituary for Marilyn Bianco

Edna Marilyn Bianco, 84, of Gainesville, formerly of Manassas, passed away November 28, 2018 surrounded by her family at the Adler Center for Caring following a lengthy illness.

Born July 25, 1934 in New Albany, IN, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Sarles Newkirk. On August 30, 1958 in Norfolk, VA, she married Jacob Bianco, who survives.

Mrs. Bianco was a United States Navy Veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post #10 in Manassas; the Loyal Order of the Moose, Woman of the Moose Lodge 1380 / Chapter 1392; the Fraternal Order of Eagles; and attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Gainesville.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Jake Bianco of Gainesville; four children, Cathy Bianco D’Alexander and her husband John of Haymarket; Stephen Bianco and his wife Cynthia of Warrenton; Susan Bianco Roberts and her husband Steve of Mocksville, NC; David Bianco and his wife Pauline of Gainesville; eight grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Tyler, Brady, Katie, Alyssa, David, II, and Brooke; three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher, and Rylee; one sister, Gail Privett of New Albany, IN; and one brother, Allan Wayne Newkirk also of New Albany, IN.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2018 form 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. Private interment will take place in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
