Road trip

Mary, Betsy and I were going to Danelle's wedding. So Betsy and I drove to Mary's to pick her up. We slept over at Mary's and left the next morning. After driving for a while,  we all had to go to the bathroom. SOOO let me set the scene. We stopped at this rundown gas station on a lonely wooded road. We had to take turns to stay with the car because we were in chain saw massacre country. The woman behind the counter had very few teeth, heavy set, with a very dirty t-shirt (right out of the movie). When we asked where the bathroom was she would just point and grunted. When it was my turn to stay at the car I could swear someone was watching us from the house in the back in an upstairs window, very creepy.  We were all laughing so hard because I kept saying we gotta get out of here!

So we continued to North Carolina. When we got to the city I drove because Betsy and Mary weren't used to driving on the freeway and I was. They would take turns giving me directions from my phone. We were having so much talking and laughing. We attended Danelle's wedding and had a wonderful time with the family.

On the way home Betsy suggested we go to Hanging Rock State Park. We had a picnic and then we hiked up to the "hanging rock". Mary was such a trooper with her sore feet and all. We had a great time. Talked and laughed the whole way. When we left the park we had another scary moment. It was getting dark and my phone's gps was sending us all over the place but we finally made it out. We stopped at a hotel for the nite then headed back to Marys.

That trip for me, was so nice spending time with my sister and Mary. The baby Patty Ann all grown up spending time with my family. Mary had such a wonderful sense of humor. I can still hear her laugh. That was a road trip to remember!
