Mary Catherine Harper was born on February 22nd, 1928, passed away peacefully in Gainesville, VA August 16th, 2022. She was surrounded with love from her daughter, and all her nursing family who cared for her at Legacy Ridge.

Born in Chinquapin, NC, Mary loved all things outdoors. Married to Henry Harper of 43 years, she was loved by many, and loved all. She was a gardener and loved to sew. In her early years, she spent a lot of time traveling across America. This was a great passion carried through her life and enjoyed the different attractions from state to state. At the age of 20, Mary moved to Washington DC, this is where she began her career with the federal government. Proud of her faith, Mary was a long-time member of Cranford United Methodist Church in Mason Neck, VA.

Mary leaves behind her two daughters, Linda Hankey of Gainesville VA, and Donna Voigt. Her grandchildren, Tara Jenkins, her husband Matt, and their daughter, Zoey. Timothy Young, his wife Elise, and their three children Colton, Dylan, and Hudson. Her step children; Anne Harper, Lee Harper, and Scott & Terrie Harper.

The family would like to take the time to extend their appreciation for all the love and support through this difficult time.

Arrangements are under the Direction of Connor R. Post. A service will be held on 10 AM Tuesday, August 23rd, Led by Rev. Mark Olson, at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110.
