Michael Jay  Dodd
Michael J. Dodd, 51, of Catharpin, Virginia passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2021.
Mike was born on May 6, 1969 to George Martin Dodd, Jr. and Parthenia Dillihay Dodd in Manassas, Virginia. After graduating from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1987 he went on to study Business Administration at Shenandoah University where he also played intercollegiate baseball. Since graduation, Mike has worked for NOVEC, Invisible Dog Fence and at the time of his death, Traffic Safety Supplies, Incorporated. Anyone that worked with Mike described him as loved by all and a hard worker.

Mike was a country boy at heart and an avid outdoorsmen who loved to kayak, hunt, and fish. If he wasn’t outside playing catch with his beloved Ebby or recently Nelly, he was in the kitchen cooking a prized batch of barbeque sauce or venison. Mike loved to both play and watch sports.

Anyone who knew Mike knew he was a devoted father, dedicated son and loving brother. Mike was predeceased by his father, George M. Dodd Jr. He is survived by his son Michael Timothy Dodd, his mother Parthenia D. Dodd, brother Martin Lee Dodd and his wife Shannon, sister Tammy Lynn Gaouette and her husband Homer, nieces and nephews Joseph, Katherine, and Alexis Gaouette and Caitlyn, Christopher, and Riley Dodd and his blue heeler Nelly.

Due to COVID concerns and precautions, a private Memorial Service will be held for family on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Broad Run Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services and Interment will also take place on Friday, January 22, 3:00 pm at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Highway, Manassas, Virginia and all are welcome. However, if it were up to Mike, he would kindly request everyone arrive at least thirty minutes late!
