Condolences

Condolence From: Cliff Beck
Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Nancy for many years. In most work settings there is usually a small cadre of workmates that you come to depend upon to get the job done, and done right. Nancy was at the top of my list.

While Nancy was incredibly dedicated to her job, I quickly learned over morning cups of coffee that her true passion was family, with a little gardening mixed in.

I will miss Nancy, and express my condolences to Dave and family.

Condolence: To the Vernon Family,
During many years as colleagues, Nancy and I shared stories of family and flowers. Her deep devotion to you was apparent to all who encountered her. She was also a great support to her work family, offering a smile, advice, or encouraging words to her NTIA co-workers. Yesterday, as I planted flowers in honor of my mother, who I lost a month ago, I smiled thinking of Nancy in God's eternal garden as she and my mother enjoyed the beautiful day. May you find peace in each emerging bud, flitting butterfly, and singing bird.

Condolence: I was so sad and shocked to learn that Nancy passed on. She was a wonderful woman! I enjoyed working with her while she was at NTIA. When she retired in 2018, I was sad to see her go but thrilled that she was going to have time for travel, gardening, and spending time with family. My condolences to her family.

Condolence: I was so saddened to learn that Nancy had passed. I was fortunate to work with Nancy many years at Commerce. She was smart, generous, and extremely dedicated to doing the best possible work. She was also a mentor and confidante who made difficult work days better ones. Nancy constantly shared her deep love for her family and her stories shined with pride. May the sweet memories you have of Nancy forever be a blessing to you.

Condolence: My heart skipped a beat on Friday, when I heard the news. Nancy was a woman of compassion, integrity and fierce loyalty. She was quite amazing and I learned much from our time working together. My heart is heavy for those of us left behind to carry on without her. But, I know the courageous battle she fought and am somewhat comforted knowing she now has peace. Prayers to you, Dave, and your family.

Condolence: Nancy was an incredible, strong woman. I will miss our Monday night yoga classes where we limped out of the class saying “ That felt good!” I will never forget our cosy chats in the car where I learned just what a special, remarkable person you were. I will miss you and you will not be forgotten .

Condolence: Over the years, every time I saw Nancy, it was like being with an old friend. It started with the marriage of our children but grew stronger through the years when we became Danny and Ellie’s grandmothers. It was a joy sharing that role with her because she was a natural. I remember being with her the first time we saw Danny shortly after his birth. She picked him up first with such ease and I was awed by her love for this new little boy who was our first grandchild. That incredible, natural love was easy for her always...to her children, to her grandchildren, to Dave, to her gardens, her home and all the people in her life. We were lucky enough to share a little sliver of that. Your will be greatly missed❤️

Condolence: Nancy was not only a fabulous mother-in-law, but a real friend as well. Her love for the beauty of this earth was expressed in her dedication to gardening and drive to explore nature. She doted upon all of her grandchildren. I can clearly remember her bouncing all as babies, praising their artistic experiments, and covering them in hugs every time they walked through the door. She is incredibly missed and leaves a huge hole in our family, yet we are so grateful for her to finally be at rest and know her eternity is full of joy and peace.

Condolence: David and family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
While we have known each other in passing for quite a few years, it was only in the past couple of years that I really got to know Nancy. She was a delightful lady, upbeat, and with a beautiful smile.
May God bless and give you comfort.
