Nancy L. (Veverka) Wilson, 73, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, November 3, from late-stage Alzheimer’s. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen Wilson (March 2022), brother Ted Veverka, brother John Veverka, and parents Theresa and William Veverka Jr. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Adams, son Diron Adams, brothers Tom Veverka and Bob Veverka (Becky), and sister Mary Amlong (Paul.)

Nancy was the oldest of 6 children and grew up in Northern Virgina. She loved horseback riding and went on to medical secretarial school after graduating high school. Nancy was always learning new creative skills, including stained glass, adult coloring books, and loved craft shows, the beach, and her dogs.
During her long career, Nancy worked as a dental assistant, realtor, activities director at the Country Club of Fairfax, and as a caregiver. She was always warm, outgoing, and personable.

The family is having a memorial service in her honor at Baker-Post Funeral home in Manassas, on Friday, November 18 at 3:00pm. Instead of flowers, Nancy’s children ask that you donate to the Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601 or:
