Obituary for Pauline Peacher Harris

Pauline Peacher Harris
Our mother (Mama), grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Pauline Peacher Harris, passed away at home with her family by her side.

Pauline was the daughter of John W. and Daisy Bell Peacher. She lived a full 91 years. Pauline was the 11th of 16 children, the only surviving sibling.

Mama was a strong woman, who overcame many struggles and obstacles in her lifetime. She was the best mama she knew how to be and would help anyone. She was a fighter to the end.

If you knew Mama, you knew not to mess with her salt and pepper shakers! She had hundreds (or maybe even thousands) of sets and knew where each and every one was. And you better not go anywhere and not bring her a set back! She loved to order from her magazines, talk on the phone, and walked many miles while living on Purcell Road.

Mama is survived by her children, Betty A. Hammer, Rita L. Theimer, Ernie L. Harris (Marcy Harris), Tracey R. Harris, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Mama was devoted to taking care of her special needs daughter, Tracey, ensuring she always had whatever she needed. She was a true advocate for Tracey and stood by her side at all times.

Mama kept her sense of humor until her final days. She left behind a legacy of compassion and resiliency that her family is so proud of. Mama will be missed but we know she will continue to take care of us from Heaven.
