Richard “Rick” Calvin Martin passed away unexpectedly at the age of 37 in Annandale Virginia on February 16, 2021. He is survived by his son Martin Shea, his sister Brandi Martin, his half-brother Jordan G. Locke, and his father Richard Charles Martin. Richard or “Rick” was born in Woodbridge VA on May 22, 1983.

about who he was…
He was the guy who came over and all of your pets forgot you, they only wanted attention from him
He was the guy who walked into a business and was immediately offered a job when he asked for one
He was that guy from second grade, so fun and traumatizing that you still wonder how he’s doing
He was the guy who actually won the prize for pitching a fast ball at the carnival game, much to the annoyance of the buff Marine with the cute girlfriend who went before him.
He
was
totally
obnoxious, and we all hated, loved, and envied him simultaneously.
Rick held dozens of different jobs over his lifetime, he traveled with the carnival, worked at a dairy farm, bartended at TGI Friday’s in Fairfax VA, and worked at Yates Automotive in Alexandria, VA. We will all miss him terribly.
On the plus side, for the women in his life, we can finally stop paying those therapy bills trying to trick our brains into thinking he isn’t the handsomest, smartest, most talented, best-smelling man in the world. He absolutely was, we can just admit that now.
Rick’s memorial service will be held outdoors at 11:00 am on April 17, 2021 at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.
