Obituary for Roger Dale Hancock Sr.

Roger Dale Hancock, Sr., 56, of Nokesville, passed away June 18, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Roger was born in Fairfax, VA on December 19, 1963. On December 30, 2000, he married the former Kimberly Thames, who survives.

For over 20 years, Roger was the owner and operator of the former Budget Pavement Marking Co. He and his family are members of the Yorkshire Free Will Baptist Church in Manassas; he was a classic car and hot rod enthusiast, and loved spending time with his family at the beach. Roger was also a strong advocate for the preservation of vintage antiques. He was a friend to many and loved by all.

Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Kimberly Hancock of Nokesville; two sons, Roger, Jr. and Ryland Hancock also of Nokesville; his father, Cecil Hancock; mother, Laura Rohbraugh; one brother, Andy Hancock and his wife Cindy also of Nokesville; one niece, Rachel Hancock; one nephew, Riley Hancock; and several other relatives and beloved friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Yorkshire Free Will Baptist Church, 7620 Chestnut Street, Manassas. A celebration of Roger’s life will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Pastor Todd Tenant officiating.
