Rosalie Darling (Hochanadel) Robl, R.N.

December 22, 1939 to October 19, 2018

Born to Lawrence and Maurine (Pecore) Hochanadel in Hoisington, Kansas, the seventh of twelve children.

She met the love of her life, Martin G. Robl, in 1957, and they were married on Thanksgiving Day in 1960. They celebrated 54 years of marriage together before God called Martin home on December 31, 2014. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Shirley Robl of Leesburg, Virginia; her daughter and son-in-law, Denise M. and Michael Cunningham of Bristow, Virginia; her daughter, Michelle R. Robl of Bristow, Virginia; her grandchildren, Danielle R. Cunningham, Sean M. Cunningham, and Ryan P. Cunningham of Bristow, Virginia; her step-granddaughter Nicole Reosti of Leesburg, Virginia; her five brothers, Dave (and Lyla), Max (and Opal), Don (and Joy), Mark (and Luann), and Gery (and Joyce) Hochanadel; her three sisters, Judy Flax, Mary (and Doug) Smith, Diane (and Duane) Schwartz; her sister-in-law Eileen (and Wayne) Willson; her brothers-in-law Vernon and Raymond Robl; her sister-in-law Verlee Hochanadel; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Martin G. Robl. D.V.M., PhD; parents, Lawrence and Maurine (Pecore) Hochanadel; one brother, Anthony (Tony) Hochanadel; two sisters, Rita Slous and Theresa Johnson; and three brothers-in-law, Bill Slous, Gene Flax, and Arlon Johnson.
When she graduated from high school, she went to nursing school, graduated and became a registered nurse.

After working to help put her husband through Veterinary Medical School, she focused her time on her family and raising their children, along with raising miniature schnauzers and her love of baking and cooking.
She dedicated her personal life to the love and care of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend – family and faith were her priorities.
After a multiple year struggle with health issues, numerous medical procedures, treatments, and hospitalizations, she died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She will be missed but never forgotten.
