The Mechaleks have been in my life for over 30 years. Amy and I have been friends since high school. I was terribly shy around my friends parents when I was younger. I gradually got to know Rudolph through the years. Most recent it was times of crisis that brought us closer. In a hospital room for both of his children, the winter of 2019 for his daughter and last spring for his son. It was in those moments that I really got to know him and see the caring heart, the love and devotion he has for his children. Last summer, I believe was when his health began failing. It must have been early fall, I got a call around 10 pm, Rudy misdialed my number. He was in bed and trying to reach Joann who was downstairs. But we talked for a good 15, 20 minutes. About a week later he misdialed again and we talked for another 20 minutes. My heart and love go out to Joann, Amy, Justine, Rob and the entire family. With blessings, John Waldron
