Obituary for Sally Ann Russum Pleasants
Sally Ann Russum Pleasants, 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in Bealeton, Virginia.
Born on January 9, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Esther Edwards and Gene Russum.
Sally graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s of Science in Home Economics. She worked as a dietician at Virginia Tech and later as a Home Economist at the Washington Gas and Light Company.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Guy Edwards.
Sally is survived by her loving husband, Leon R. Pleasants, their children; Stuart, David and Gregory Pleasants and grandchildren, Kate, Matthew, Jack, Susanna, Adam and Ryan.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 14, 2018 beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will immediately follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, Virginia.
