Sam's sense of humor

Sam was not only intelligent, he had a great sense of humor. First a little background. In 1959 Central Catholic High School was an all boys school, taught by the Marist Brothers. St. Joseph Academy was all girls school taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph, all on the same property. Most of the brothers wore capes in the winter months. One morning Sam and I went into our Math. class taught by Brother Robert. Brother had left his cape downstairs in his last class room and asked Sammy (as B. Robert always called him) to go down and get it for him as he started class. A little later Sam came back into the class room wearing the cape (acting like Dracula), B. Robert and the class laughed and brother said "Thank you Sammy". As Sam was heading back to his desk he said, "Oh, by the way, I sent 2 Freshman to detention".
