Obituary for Sarah G. Miller

Sarah G. Miller
Sarah G. Miller, 58, of Manassas Park, passed away July 31, 2022, at the UVA – Haymarket Medical Center.

Born February 21, 1964, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Joseph Haley and Agnes Henrietta Wheeler Haley. On November 28, 1998, in Warrenton Virginia, she married Keith D. Miller, who survives.

Sarah was a member of the Gainesville United Methodist Church, and was a wonderful wife and incredible mother, dedicated to both unconditionally. Sarah was Keith's co-pilot on the back of the Harley; riding together was a shared passion. When not on two wheels she loved playing backgammon at home poolside, golfing, and spending time in OBX with her son, husband, close friends, and family. A lover of people with the gift of gab, Sarah worked in the restaurant business most of her life. She spent the past 10 years as a bartender and manager at Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon. She was able to impart her spirit, kindness, and infectious smile to all she met. This compassion and kind heartedness was also passed along to her son, Austin. One of her close friends wrote, "Lucky to have been blessed with you. However, the world is less cool without you in it." Sarah will be greatly missed.

Besides her loving husband of 24 years, Sarah is survived by one son, Austin C. Miller, who was born in Warrenton on Sarah and Keith's 2nd Wedding Anniversary; three brothers, Peter Gioia along with his wife Katherine and their daughters Henriette and Brittani; Andrew Haley and his wife Suzanne; Joseph Haley and his wife Jessica; one brother in-law Chad Miller; and her mother and father-in-law Sharon and Larrie Miller.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the charity of your choice.
