Obituary for Scott Wayne Ratigan

Scott Wayne Ratigan
On Friday, January 17th, 2020, Scott Wayne Ratigan passed from this life at the age of 24. Scott was the cherished son of John and Linda Ratigan, and the Brother to Stephanie Houston and Colleen Ratigan.

Scott was born on September 15th, 1995 in Fairfax, VA. An athlete for most of his life, Scott loved both playing sports and watching sports. Whether it was Grizzly Football or his Battlefield High School lacrosse team, growing up in Gainesville, VA gave him the opportunity to make lasting friendships that he maintained throughout his entire life. Scott graduated from Radford University with a degree in Business Management and was a member and Vice President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Scott loved spending time with his family including his many Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Cousins and his Nephew. Scott was the type of person you could count on to breathe life into any situation. He lived and laughed harder than anyone. His loss will leave a hole in all those that had the opportunity to know him. Today, we mourn for Scott and the Ratigan family, but we want to remember to celebrate his life because that’s what Scott would expect of each of us. We can honor his memory by loving those around us, enjoying each and every day, and never taking our time together for granted. We love and miss you Scott!

Services will be held on Monday January 27th, 2020 11:00 am at the Park Valley Church 4500 Waverly Farm Dr. Haymarket, VA. Anyone who wishes to celebrate the life of Scott Ratigan is welcome to attend.
