Uncle Shirrell Tales

Remember he had a chopper with a sissy bar on the back. He road the kids around the backyard on it. I think it was a sky blue, think it was Suzuki not sure. Was not a Harley.

“Good Times” I think I could write several paragraphs on the boat and all the fishing trips.

I remember the photos of how badly the boat was trashed when the coast guard had to rescue him.

When he took us on a night cruise down the Potomac past all the monuments.

The time the wheel bearing over headed and they were pouring beer on them when the Fairfax County Police said,  "What a waste of bear it was." I think before the Police stopped by, there were a few were openned waiting for the bearings to cool down.

There was the ex-cop car a Dodge Challenger, white with a hemi. Going to get ice cream and him lighting the tires.

Yes he had a beard when no one else did.

Kirby Road Texaco, pumping gas and washing windows. The kids doing a terrible job on back windows.  I don't wipe my windows without a rag, to whipe Squeegee after each pass. Reminds me of him each time.

The old Chevy truck with no floor boards that our dad’s bought together. He later sold it and bought a mower.

The "Big green monster", big IH Travelall the original sport utility.

Johnny Cash the man in black.

Always reminded of Uncle Shirrell.

Your family had one of the first VCR's I ever remember.

Him Hanging out with April, Kristy and Dave on the front porch. Showing of the latest big bass he caught.

Always will remember the deep voice that carried, while telling a good fishing tale.
