Obituary for Tamberly Rowe

Tamberly  Rowe
ROWE, Tamberly “Tammy” Rene, 51, was called home on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019. in Triangle, VA.
Daughter of Mary Burress and the late Billy Burress, sister of Lassie Burress and Kevin Mills; she was born April 29, 1967 in Morgantown, West Virginia. She spent most of her life in Manassas Park, VA and graduated in 1985 from Osbourn Park High School.

She is survived by her loving partner, Robert Bolling; her children, William and Kaitlyne Mills; step-daughter, Hannah Barraclough; grandchildren Kaleb, Zozie and Alayna; nieces Ashley Dill and Kourtney Dean; great-nieces Destiny, Jayla and great-nephew Landon.

Also survived by daughter-in-law, Karla Slazer and son-in-law, Stephen Barraclough along with a large extended family and distant relatives.

She was an avid animal lover and partnered with the TNR program that assisted in rehabilitating stray cats from her local neighborhood. Her hobbies included playing BINGO occasionally on Saturday nights with her mother at her local Volunteer Fire Department. She enjoyed bowling in a league at Bowl America in Manassas Park.

She also loved cooking for her loved ones and organized family holidays and birthdays. She enjoyed indulging in her favorite snacks, such as firecracker popsicles, Smartpop popcorn, and Tasty Cake Kandy Kakes to name a few. Her favorite meal was McDonalds chicken nuggets and fries with LOTS of honey mustard. She was a huge caffeine lover and had to have Dunkin Donuts coffee (large coffee, 6 creams and 12 sugars). Her family would often find her late at night binge watching the Food Network, ID Channel and loved the Big Brother Show as well as Pit Bulls and Parolees.

She loved being a mother and grandmother and was the life blood of her family. She placed her family, friends and fur babies above all else. She may have left this world physically, but her spirit and love will be with us forever and carry us forward.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 9950 Cockrell Road, Manassas, Virginia.

Interment will be private and at a later date.

Welcome Home
To those I love and those who love me,
When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me in tears;
Be happy that we had so many years.

I give you my love and you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown.
But now it’s time I traveled on alone.

So, grieve awhile for me if grieve you must;
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for a while that we must part.
So, bless the memories within your heart.

I won’t be far away, for life goes on.
So, if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you cannot see or touch me,
I’ll be near, and if you listen with your heart,
You’ll hear my love around you
Soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile
And say, “Welcome Home”.
