Thomas Randolph Mazzoli entered this world on September 23, 1955 in Danbury, CT. He was born to the late Vito Joseph and Judith Randolph Mazzoli. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Karen Elaine, his daughter Jessica Elaine Vaughn (Devin), daughter Victoria Randolph Mazzoli (Jon), and his two grandchildren Charles Nathan Vaughn and Everleigh Randolph Mazzoli. He is also survived by his brother Skip (Cheryl), sister Tina (Mark), brother Wade (Denise), and sister Sandra, sister-in-law Donna (Keith) and brother-in-law Gordon (Joyce), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that are like family.

Tommy moved to Arlington when he was just six months old, attending Nottingham Elementary, Swanson Junior High and Yorktown High (73). He was a master electrician in private industry prior to joining Fairfax County, where he had a lengthy career and retired as an Assistant Project Manager.

Tommy had many names: Babe, Honey, Dad, Pop, T-Mac, Tim-Tam, MacGyver and of course…the other evil twin.

He was a very loving, kind, and compassionate man, and everyone loved him. These qualities ensured that he never met a stranger.

Tommy was known for his collection of Hot Wheels, and was more recently known as “Uncle Hot Wheels,” showering the little ones, as well as the big ones, with them at family events. What happy times!

He loved music: listening to it, singing it, playing it on air guitar, and even writing it (he’s been known to write a funny lyric or two). If you wanted to know the name of a song, an artist, or who was in a band, Tommy was your man.

He had a love for cars, motorcycles, and the boat he had back in the day. He was an incredible wealth of knowledge regarding anything and everything mechanical, and you could often find him tinkering in his garage, fixing something, or taking something apart just to see how it worked.

Tommy was very generous with his many talents, assisting friends, neighbors and even strangers in any way that he could.

His greatest love was family, especially his girls, Jessica and Victoria, and grandbabies, Nathan and Everleigh, and oh how they loved him too.

Tommy will be greatly missed, but we all know the streets of heaven are paved in gold and full of music and he is there now, enjoying family and friends passed, smiling down on us, singing, and playing his famous air guitar until we meet again.
