Obituary for Thomas Michael Nasiatka

Thomas A. Nasiatka , 86, died on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Great Falls Assisted Living.

Born on December 28, 1932, he was the youngest of 8 children born to Andrew and Blanche Nasiatka.

Thomas graduated from West Virginia University where he majored in Mining Engineering. Upon graduating, he received a gold pocket watch for being the highest in his major.

On August 21, 1976, Tommy married the former Lorraine Buchecker.

He worked with the Bureau of Mines in the Department of Interior. After retirement, he formed his own business, MotorExchange, which he ran for 11 years.

Tommy loved golf, whether he was watching it or playing it, and he also enjoyed reading.
He was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters; Stanley, John, Edward, Carl, Frances, Julie, and Sophia.

Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Lorraine and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tommy was a loving husband and uncle and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Denise Childers officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, Virginia.
