Thomas Oliver  Newcome
Thomas Oliver Newcome, 90, of Manassas, passed away October 26, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 10, 1932, in Front Royal, VA, he was the son of the late John Oliver Newcome and Belvia Catherine Fox Newcome. On November 16, 1958, in Little Washington, VA, he married the former Mildred S. “Millie” Sisk, who preceded him in death on August 30, 2009.

Mr. Newcome was a lifelong resident of Manassas and Northern Virginia. He served in the United States Army for two years; and later was an Assistant Manager for many different grocery stores in the area for over 40 years. After retiring, Tom started Newcome Landscaping in Manassas and served as its owner and operator until his passing.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Edward Newcome, and his wife Kelly of Manassas; one daughter, Nancy Anne Collyer, and her husband Bob also of Manassas; three grandchildren, Thomas Cole Newcome; Nikki Anne Collyer; Samantha Rose Newcome; and many other loving friends and family members.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A Celebration of Mr. Newcome’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Alan Huffman officiating.

Interment will be private and held at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the charity of your choice.
