Obituary for Yvonne Slusher (Merchant)
Yvonne Merchant Slusher passed away on 4/29/2021 at Heritage Hall Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg, VA.
Yvonne was born in Clifton Station, VA, grew up in Herndon, VA and spend her adult life in Manassas, VA and Haymarket, VA.
She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn A. Slusher and her parents Gilbert Walker Merchant and Mary Louise Collins Merchant, her sister Sylvia Presgrave (Bentley) and her brother Robert Merchant (Dollie). She is survived by two children, Sandra Slusher Smallwood (Tom) and Michael Glenn Slusher (Jessica), 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Manassas Baptist Church and has a long family history with Floris Methodist and Sudley Methodist churches. Yvonne also leaves extended family and very dear friends.
Visitation will be in the Manassas Baptist Church main Sanctuary on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Donahue officiating. Graveside services will take place in the Sudley United Methodist Church Cemetery; a reception will immediately follow at the home of Mike Slusher.
