Frances V. Smith (83), of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on October 2, 2018. At the time of her passing, Frances was surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was born in Greensboro, PA to Charles and Margaret Gansor on March 9, 1935. She was married to Benjamin M. Smith of Romney, WV on May 7, 1955. She was a housewife and mother to her five wonderful children.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Benjamin and is survived by her five children; Charles J. Smith (Kathy) of Rixeyville, VA; Robert E. Smith of Front Royal; VA, Kimberly J. Whetzel of Front Royal, VA; Robin L. Masiello (Bob) of Front Royal, VA; and Cathy J. Richards (Russell) of Bealeton, VA, her loving grandchildren, Amanda Sheetz, Michael Smith, Matthew Smith, Christopher Murphy, Shelby Whetzel, Emily Gibson, Michael Whetzel, Andrew Masiello, Mary Aronholt, James Richards, Jason Richards, and Ryan Richards. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 8, 2018, from 10 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA 20110. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Brian Majewski officiating.

Interment will follow at Stonewall Memorial Gardens, 12004 Lee Highway, Manassas, VA 20109.

There will be a reception following the interment at the Centreville Volunteer Fire Department hall, 5856 Old Centreville Road, Centreville, VA. 20121.
