Each of the staff members at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center is committed to providing your family with the finest in personal care. In fact, for years, it’s been comforting for area families to know that we are available to help at any time of the day or night.

When a loved one passes, all you need to do is make one phone call. From that moment on, we’ll take on the responsibilities of the physical care of your loved one, and the emotional care of those left behind.

Michael C. Post, Owner, Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Crematory Operator

Mike has been involved in the funeral business for over 30 years, being a licensed funeral director for over 26 years. He is licensed in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and New York and is a Maryland Courtesy Card Holder. He is also a CANA certified crematory operator. Mike graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Empire State College. He was the Licensed Director and Manager of the former Baker Funeral Home for over four years, and now, along with his wife Gina, have been the owners and operators of the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a family owned and family operated business since 2007. Mike and Gina have three children and are residents of Nokesville, VA. He is currently the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Brentsville District High School, a Notary in the State of Virginia; a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas where he has served as a Trustee, and a member of the Rotary Club of Manassas where he has served as the Secretary and on their foundation board; he has also served as a Board Member of Historic Manassas, Inc, and held an appointment to the Manassas Business Council. “I know the importance of the work I’ve chosen. I’m just grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given, and know that they have led me to where we are today."

Gina M. Post, Owner / Funeral Assistant

Gina selflessly gave up her own career to begin raising her family, and as the Baker-Post business has grown, Gina has worked tirelessly and served in many different capacities including bookkeeping, video production, funeral assistant and most recently serving as the business’ service / therapy dog handler, and the primary community outreach spokesperson. Gina and her family are members of Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas where she previously served on the SPRC committee; and she is actively involved with the Prince William Professional Networking Group (PWPN), where she currently serves as the Secretary for the group. Mike and Gina were high school sweethearts, and are proud members of the Nokesville community where they live and have raised their three children, Connor, Ellie and Jackson.

Connor R. Post, Licensed Funeral Director and CANA Certified Crematory Operator

Connor is a 2017 graduate of Osbourn High School in Manassas and is also a 2020 graduate of  John Tyler Community College in Chester, VA, where he received his AAS Degree in their Funeral Services Program.  He became National Board Certified and a Virginia Funeral Service Licensee in January 2021, becoming a second generation Funeral Director, following his father's footsteps.  Connor is a CANA Certified Crematory Operator, Licensed Embalmer, and a Notary in the State of Virginia.  In his spare time, Connor enjoys working out, golfing and spending time on the water at Lake Anna.  "I understand how important the funeral industry is and feel very proud to be a part of a business and a family that serves our community in such an important way."

Michael D. Ward, Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Crematory Operator

The Baker-Post family is very fortunate to have Michael Ward, and his tremendous experience in the funeral industry serve as licensed funeral director with our family owned and operated funeral home. Mike was born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, and is a 1975 graduate of John Tyler Community College in Chester, Virginia where he received an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. He has been a licensed funeral director in Virginia for over 48 years and is also a CANA certified crematory operator. Mike was a resident of the City of Manassas for over 12 years, working at the former Lee Funeral Home. He also serves as Notary Public in the State of Virginia, and his interests include spending time with his two sons, one grandson, playing the drums, and supporting the Chicago Bears. “I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of a funeral home where families really do matter most”
