Obituary for Patricia L. Chettle

Patricia L.  Chettle
Patricia Anne Chettle, 74 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Adler Hospice Center in Aldie, Va. She passed peacefully in her sleep with her husband of 55 years Charles (Bud) Emerich Chettle by her side.

Born September 1, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Willie Bentley and Carmella Catherine Liggan, and loving older sister to the late Natalie Marie Daley.

She is survived by her loving sons, Michael Emerich and Cherrie Chettle, of Richmond, Va., and Charles William and Georgia Chettle, of West Grove, Pa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle,
Melissa (Dan), Robert, Emilee, Anna and Steve; great grandchildren Sierra, Hunter and Ashlee; nephew Christopher (Bridget) and niece Lauren (Megan); brother-in-law Dennis; cousins Natalie “Nellie” Kolley, and Rosemary Aloi; and many special friends including Sister Veronica, Maureen, Mary and Florence.

A resident of Manassas Park, Va., she was a parishioner at All Saints Catholic Church. Patricia – or Pat as she was known – was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed visiting the Shenandoah Mountains, cracking blue crabs, baking and spending time with her family. She was known for her sweet smile, and infectious laugh and giggle.

Patricia embodied what it meant to be holy and faithful. She often gave of her time, provided rides to friends, sent thoughtful cards and offered a kind word and prayer to all she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements are being handled by Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Va., 201110. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Rd, Manassas, VA 20110 with a reception to follow. A private burial service will be held in Richmond VA at 3:00 PM.
