Harvey W. Snyder of Nokesville, Va. 83 died surrounded by loved ones at his home on Friday April 3, 2015. Born March 2, 1932 in Nokesville, Va. He was a beef farmer most of his life and loved working on his farm in Nokesville. He was a foster parent for 34 years to the children of Prince William County. He is survived by his wife Alice Snyder, his children Gary Doane, Arlene Iverson, Donna Prendergast, Kathy Yohn and Raymond Snyder. 10 Grandchildren, Michelle Armstrong, Justin Prendergast, Andrew Yohn, Cindy Yohn, Steven Iverson, Aimee Prendergast, Jessica Duvall, Jacob Yohn, James Yohn and Autumn Yohn. 6 Great grandchildren, William, Zachary and Marc Armstrong, Kristin Scharbrough, Lexi Yohn and Maverick Duvall. Two sisters, Virginia Carrico and Pauline Wray and son-laws Michael Iverson, Jeff Prendergast and Kevin Yohn.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day; unseen, unheard but always near. Grandpa it's time to rest but I know you will continue to raise cain in heaven. Love Jessie.

A memorial service will be held at the Nokesville Church of Brethren, 13002 Fitzwater Dr., Nokesville, VA 20181 on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Charlie Stribula officiating.
