Grace Foddrill was called to God’s loving arms on August 25, 2015.

She was 87 years old and born on June 16, 1928 in Tularosa, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Ophelia Wohlgemuth, her brothers, Emil and Steve, and her sisters, Stella Jackson and Josephine Seaman.

She is survived by her loving husband Sam of 66 years; her children, Elizabeth Dewey and husband John; Russell Foddrill and wife Lorry, Donna Altepeter; Cathy Foddrill; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Grace lived most of her life in New Mexico and moved to Virginia 15 years ago to live with her daughter Donna and son-in-law. Grace loved being a wife and mother. She took pride in her children and their families and was thrilled with their visits. She enjoyed music, singing, dancing, and loyally cheering for her Dallas Cowboys football team. She had a strong Catholic faith and believed in the power of prayer.

Grace’s goal was to one day see the face of God. With her generous spirit, love of family and friends and her strong religious faith, there is no doubt that she is with Him now. She is in our hearts, and her love is comforting us as we continue to live our lives.

Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 12:00 noon.
