John Emery Wolfe, 79, passed away surrounded by family at his home in Manassas, VA on January 22, 2016.

John was born June 10, 1936 in Newburg, WV. He was the son of the late Cecil and Jessie Boggs Wolfe.

He is survived by Joyce Wolfe, his wife of 60 years; son, Mark Wolfe; daughter, Desiree Wolfe and husband George Neal; granddaughters, Elizabeth and husband Michael Panzano, Ashley and husband Daniel Sullivan, Megan Neal and Shannon Neal; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Ethan Panzano; sister, Naomi Ripley, and several nieces and nephews.

John was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the US Air Force for 13 years and retired from IBM in 1991 after 23 years of service. He was a long-time member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church in Manassas.

A memorial service will be held on February 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas United Methodist Church, 8899 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA.

A private burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery.
