Obituary for Susan Marie Cubbage

Susan Marie  Cubbage
Susan Marie Cubbage, 65, passed away Sunday April 3, 2016 at the Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA.

Susan was born April 8, 1950 to her parents, Melvin and Dorothy Olson who predeceased her.

After High School, Susan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for four years.

On August 19, 1972 in Michigan, Susan married Henry Cubbage who survives.

Susan loved to bake cookies and sweets for her children’s classes for holidays and special occasions. She also loved doing anything for anyone and asking nothing in return as well as making embroided baby blankets and quilts for friends and family. Susan also put together items for newborns and gave them for many families. Susan enjoyed old movies and musicals, especially with Elvis Presley as well as listening to the Oldies from the 50’s and 60’s.

Besides her husband of 42 years, she is also survived by two daughters Cynthia Kay and Wendy Sue; a son John Henry as well as a grandson Andrew and granddaughter Sarah.Susan is also survived by: Two aunts Phyllis and Sandra, Two sisters Cynthia and Teresa, and six brothers; Larry, William, Bradley, Mark, Bruce, and Rodney.

The Family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday April 13, 2016 at the Baker-Post Funeral Home 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Todd Tennant will be officiating.

Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle VA.
