The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sara Brown can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I called her Mom.

When I joined the greater Brown family in the late 1980's, she welcomed me in with warmth and sincere affection. During many, many years, when my relationship with my own mother was, shall we say, fraught, I was happy and comforted to have her as my main maternal figure. When I produced her twin grandchildren, we became closer, and I was heartwarmed by how well our connection survived my divorce from, and later death of, her oldest son.
I am glad that the twins are old enough now that they will remember her too. She will be missed.
