Charles William  McClure
Charles McClure, age 80, died peacefully at home with his family at his bedside. HE is survived by his wife Jacquie, his children and their spouses Anne and Dale Gulledge, Dave and Lori McClure, and Rob and Pam McClure, along with his grandchildren Brandon and Will Gulledge, and Maggie and Phil McClure. His parents, Howard and Jessie McClure and his sister Shirley Humphries who predeceased him. He will also be missed by his nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Charles grew up in Beloit, WI. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Wisconsin, where he was honored as a member of Tau Beta Pi, and Eta Kappa Nu. He served our country as a First Lieutenant in the Army Signal Corps. Through all his long professional life, he worked as a consultant for the management of computer systems, using his expertise in both electrical engineering and computer programming. These were his passions during his whole life, with him continuing to dabble in both even in retirement.

He and Jacquie where longtime residents of Newton Lower Falls, MA before moving to Gainesville, VA for the last years of his life. Charles found enjoyment surfing the Internet every day and sharing his elder-statesman wisdom with all his email savvy relatives and friends. A private memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project, Doctors Without Borders or a charity of your choice.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
