Obituary for Barbara Adelaide Weiner

Barbara Adelaide Weiner
Barbara is known for her ability to create moments of joy, laughter, inspiration, purpose, bitter defeat, and hilarious inside jokes. Barbara had a special talent for bringing joy to those around her. Her infectious spirit and ability to create fun out of any situation had a way of making everyone smile. It was a true gift to witness her in action, as her positive energy had a ripple effect on all those fortunate enough to be in her presence.

Barbara Adelaide Weiner (Viti), 71, of Woodbridge, VA, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and her little chihuahua, Lilly.

Barbara was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Maria Adelaide Viti (Gallo) and Albert John Viti, Sr. Barbara was a proud Italian American who loved her family, her friends, and her rescue animals. Barbara met and married the love of her life, Julius Leonard Weiner, on May 25, 1974, in Sacred Heart Church, officiated by both a priest and a rabbi. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Julius, 2 daughters and their husbands, Julieanne Weiner (George) and Robert L. George, and Maria Adelaide Weiner (Edwards) and Phillip Edwards; Dennis Leggett and Marcus D Butler, who Barbara considered her 2 sons; 2 Grandsons, who called Barbara their “Meemes”; was extremely proud of, Nicholas Viti Hessler, who was her Sunshine and Marcus Devoe Butler II, who was her Markito. Barbara is also survived by her sister and her brother, many loving nieces and nephews, an entire community of friends and many of her rescue pets who she cherished.

Barbara selflessly devoted her entire life to taking care of her family, which brought her immense happiness. She was an exceptional daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and we were blessed to have her in our lives. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all those who loved her, and her absence will be greatly felt.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Tunnel 2 Towers (dogood.t2t.org) would be greatly appreciated, as Barbara was a proud American, and always supported the United States Military.

A private interment will take place at The National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico at a later date.
