For years, they hiked and camped along the C&O Canal, volunteering their time in clean up and maintenance of the trail and structures owned by the Club. In her later years, Sally enjoyed volunteering her time at the Inova Fairfax Hospital Thrift Shop in Annandale.

Sally was preceded in death in 1995, by her loving husband of 41 years, James Calvin Bryant. In addition, she was predeceased by her brothers; John Mazinski, Sigmund Mazinski, Edward Mazinski, Chester Martin and sister; Helen Ely.
