The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jonah Diaz can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

We are all heartbroken to learn of Jonah's passing and just wanted to let you know in our small way that all of you are in our thoughts. Kailey and our family knew Jonah through the brief time they spent together in Mrs Blaemire's 1st grade class this year... his loss is strongly felt- As is the courage and strength you all have shown in sharing his journey, we are in awe of the heroism you all have shown... if there is anything we can do to help you all - please don't hesitate... Kailey prefers to think that Jonah has moved far away to continue doing all the things he loves- "we just can't see him but he is happy," she says... that helps her accept what has happened... we truly wish you all find some of that happiness as well... In that spirit, Kailey was sharing a class project in her backpack- a book on rules each student provided one- - what you should not do... Don't.... and they'd fill in the blank- and while everyone wrote in "running in the halls"- or "hit" or "kick" or other serious ones... Jonah's contribution had us in stitches- His was: Don't fart : ) We cracked up laughing... his illustration sealed the deal for us - little air bubbles out the back side of the boy he drew below - what a sense of humor!
