Andrew Thomas “Tommy” Robinson, Sr., 95, passed away November 19, 2015 at his home, where he lived for over 60 years.

Born August 29, 1920 in Haymarket, VA, he was the son of the late Walter and Nellie Spinks Robinson. On February 21, 1942, he married Frances Cornelia Pullen, who preceded him in death on June 22, 2010 after 68 years of marriage.

A lifelong resident of Haymarket, Tommy worked on Norman Farm as a young adult and then later for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Following his retirement from VDOT he became a custodian at Haymarket Baptist Church. He was a very active member of the Church, where he currently is recognized as a Deacon Emeritus for his long and outstanding service as a Deacon within the church.

He is survived by four children, Ann Williams and her husband Jim of Falls Church; Andy Robinson, Jr. and his fiancé Dean of Manassas; Betty Jean Payne and her husband Eugene of Gainesville; Mary Katherine Klesyk and her husband Richard of Warrenton; two sisters, Marie Gray of Gainesville and Barbara White of Warrenton; one brother, Mac Robinson of Haymarket; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Tommy also leaves behind his beloved caretakers, Florence Duah who cared for him for 11 years, Mike Nsiah, who cared for him for 4 years and Ben Darko who cared for him for 2 years.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Haymarket Baptist Church, 14800 Washington Street, Haymarket, VA, with Rev. Dr. Charles D. Stewart officiating.

Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the Haymarket Baptist Church, 14800 Washington Street, Haymarket, VA 20169.
