Obituary for Anna Louise Hopkins
Anna Louise Hopkins, age 87, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, after a long illness.
Born April 20, 1927, in Jonesville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Milton and Jesse Kate Unthank.
Anna married Cecil M. Hopkins in 1942. She was a longtime resident of Manassas, Virginia and was retired from the Fairfax County School Board where she worked as a Building Supervisor for several elementary schools.
Besides her parents and her husband, Anna was preceded in death by two brothers, John Milton Unthank, Jr. and Stephen Unthank and two sisters, Elizabeth Hudson and Billie Jean Smith,
She is survived by her children; daughter, Sandra Ferrante (Randy) and son, Bob Hopkins (Susan) as well as a grandson, Jamie Ferrante and one Great-Granddaughter, Ashley Ferrante. She also leaves behind four sisters; Amelia Hopper, Ewell Unthank, Shirley Smith and Marietta Therrell; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Quantico National Cemetery.
