Obituary for Barbara Ann Pearce

Barbara Ann  Pearce
Barbara Ann Pearce departed this life July 22, 2016, at the Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.

She was born April 30, 1933, being the daughter of Elzie and Clara (Morris) Hacker. She was united in marriage to Ernest Franklin Pearce on August 15, 1959. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Elzie Hacker, Jr. She is survived by one sister, Wanda Lee (Hacker) Reed and husband Ray B. Reed, Sr., sister-in-law Viola Marie (Pearce) Hopkins and husband Hilbert Hopkins, and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Barbara's career was in banking where she worked in London, Kentucky, Lynchburg, Virginia and Chantilly, Virginia. She retired as Manager of F&M's Dulles Airport International Bank. She met a lot of interesting people that came through the airport facilities.

She attended Centreville Baptist for many years being active in the ladies bible study group and the GoGo's, God's Own Golden Oldies, a social group.

Services will be held at the Centreville Baptist Church on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 11:00 am for visitation and 12:00 noon the funeral. Also, services will be held in London, Kentucky at the Bowling Funeral Home at 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2016.

Barbara's faith was strong and her outlook on life was always positive. She was a friend to many and loved deeply her family and friends. Her presence will be missed however, her spirit will live forever in all who knew her.
