Obituary for Caryl Rae Krannich

Caryl Rae Krannich, 64, of Woodbridge, died suddenly August 4, 2008 at the Potomac Hospital.

Born September 28, 1943 in Ohio, she was the daughter of Marjorie Smith Woodring. On June 4, 1977 in Norfolk, she married Ronald Krannich, who survives.

Mrs. Krannich was the co-owner of Impact Publications, a publication company that she and her husband founded. She graduated from Mt. Union College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She later received an MA in Speech Communications from the University of Hawaii, and completed her PhD in Speech Communications from Penn State University. Caryl has been a member of Grace United Methodist Church for the past three years, where she was a soprano section leader in the Chancel Choir, and is the author of more than 50 career and travel Books.

She was preceded in death by one brother, David Woodring. Besides her loving husband of 31 years, Caryl is survived by her mother, Marjorie Woodring of Kent, Ohio, and many beloved friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7th, 2008 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Rd. Manassas. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary with the Rev. Meredith McNabb officiating.

Interment will take place in Woodvale Cemetery, Middleburg Heights, Ohio, on Saturday, August 9th, 2008.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Manassas, Virginia.
