Obituary for Christy L. Quinn

Christy L. Quinn
Christy Lee (Baker) Quinn, 77, passed away at home on Saturday, December 16, 2023. She lived in Bristow, Virginia.

She is survived by her partner of over 40 years, Linda Landwehr, her two sons, Brent and Aaron Quinn, and three grandchildren she adored, Brandon, Amanda and Chase Quinn.

Christy was born July 8, 1946, in Greenville, Ohio to Don and Maxine (Ditmer) Baker. She had five siblings, Carol McGuire, Sandy Pilcher, Jeanne Kaufman, Joe and Ted Baker, all of whom pre-deceased her.

After graduating from Arcanum High School in Ohio, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she raised her boys and built a career as a project administrator at IBM and Lockheed Martin. During retirement Christy enjoyed reading all sorts of books, engaging in book club discussions, watching movies and TV, and improving her knowledge of cooking. She loved making her favorite meals to share with family, friends and neighbors. She and Linda spent much of their time in retirement on road trips to spend quality time with family and friends, visiting used bookstores wherever they went.
After being diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2021, Christy was an inspiration to everyone she spent time with as she navigated her illness with patience and grace. Christy was a beloved partner, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
