Obituary for Dora Draviam Teimouri

Dora Draviam Teimouri
Dora Pankajam Draviam Teimouri, age 73, died peacefully at her home in Nokesville, Virginia on October 13, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born in Hyderabad, India in 1941, lived in Rangoon, Burma attending the Methodist English High School and graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. Dora earned her Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling in 1975 from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She worked in various capacities with the State of Ohio, Washington, DC City Government, the US Veterans Administration and finally at the US Department of Education as a professional dedicated to employing those with disabilities. Dora, despite her own disability, raised two sons while working full-time. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed various hobbies including jewelry making, ceramics, and glass sculptures. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, cousin and aunt, she is survived by her sons, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Dora was a caring, genuine and loving woman who touched the lives of many; she will be missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 19th, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Baker-Post, Funeral Home, Manassas, VA.
A reception will be held in the funeral home community room immediately following the service.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
