Dorothy Ellen Eckley, 70, of Manassas, VA passed away on March 7, 2018
Born Dorothy Ellen Epes on September 14, 1947 in Arlington, VA and raised in Washington, D.C. She was a strong and fiercely independent working mother of two girls, who enjoyed reading Stephen King novels and her job as a computer programmer at Freddie Mac.
She is survived by her equally independent daughters Wendy Lang of Manassas, VA and Nakia Eckley of Lancaster, PA, her brother Waverly Epes of Mebane, NC, nephews William, Robert and Joshua, and niece Stephanie.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ethel, as well as her brothers Edward and John.
