Obituary for Edith Emma Wiler
Edith Emma (Williams) Wiler
Age 92, formerly of Cape May, NJ; Irwin, PA; and Philadelphia, PA, born August 5, 1926 in Upland, PA, died April 15, 2019 in Manassas, VA. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Williams and Edith (Weaver) Williams-Cullum.
Edith was active in the United Methodist Church wherever she lived and enjoyed birding, gardening and crafts. She also did volunteer work and worked with the Girl Scouts in Western PA.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Donald John, Sr., son, Donald John, Jr., her stepfather Melvin Cullum, sisters Roberta Bolt and Berniece Wickham, brother Fred Newton Williams, infant sisters Ruth and Margaret Lillie and her dog, Monty.
She is survived by her daughters Lauren Sutherland (Alan); Edith Lynch (Dwayne); daughter-in-law, Marianne Wiler; four grandchildren: Eric Sutherland (Cathy); Ashley Sutherland; Ian Sutherland; Jeffrey Wiler; one great-granddaughter, Sophia; brother John (Marlene); sister-in-law Lorraine; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Interment will private and at a later date.
