Gregory Thomas Johnson, age 37, passed away August 24, 2012, in Manassas, VA.

Greg was born December 28, 1974, in Oswego, NY. On June 26, 2004, in San Juan Puerto Rico, he married the former Daisy Robles, who survives.

Greg was a hard-working and successful athlete, graduating from Mexico High School, Mexico, NY in 1993, and James Madison University in 1997, with highest honors.
Greg also graduated from Northern Virginia Police Academy in 1998 and chose a career of service with the Arlington County Police Department in Virginia, where his latest assignment was as a K-9 officer. He loved to cook, read, and follow his favorite sports teams; the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills and Washington Nationals.

Greg was a loving and generous husband, a very attentive and affectionate father, and most caring son, brother, and uncle. He was a skilled and intelligent officer and a fun-loving and devoted friend to everyone he knew. He was the most considerate and helpful of neighbors.

Survivors include his loving wife of eight years, Daisy Robles Johnson; one daughter, Emma Carys Johnson; his mother, Christina Jones; and his father, William Thomas Johnson; two sisters; Elizabeth Johnson Kent, her husband Fred and their children, Lena and Elliana; and Lindsay Johnson, step-parents Joanne Johnson and David Cassel; maternal grandparents, Faye and Robert Jones, Jr.; his aunt, Ridley Jones, and many step-uncles and aunts and cousins. Also surviving are his mother and father-in-law, Roberto (Guille) Robles López and Carmen Hilda Rivera; sister-in-law Ginette Robles DeLeón, her husband Ricardo, and their children Alondra Krystal and Ricardo Andre; brother-in-law Roberto Robles Rivera; and many brothers and sisters from the law enforcement community, including his faithful canine partner, Toby.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 29th, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 30th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas with Rev. Robert Cilinski as the Celebrant. Interment will be private and at a later date.
