Jack Coleman  Green
Jack Coleman Green, age 77, passed away on September 26, 2014 at Novant Prince William Medical Center, Manassas, VA.

He was born on July 14, 1937 in Mullens, West Virginia to the late James Fred and Inez May (Alley) Green
.
Jack was born and raised in West Virginia where he attended Baileysville High School. He was especially proud of having played football and basketball for Baileysville. Jack and his brother James were outstanding athletes and where both were cited numerous times for the outstanding play. After he graduated from high school, he moved to Manassas, VA where he worked in construction and raised his family. He was a long-time fan of the Washington Redskins. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and gardening.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 59 years, Helen (Lester) Green, four sisters: Dorothy Miller, Helen Toler, Mary Ruffin, and Shirley Hatfield.

Survivors include sons, Ralph David Green of Unionville, VA; Fredrick Cecil Green of Yorkshire, VA; Joe Edward Green of Yorkshire, VA; and daughter, Tammy Sue Speaks of Centreville, VA. Also a brother James Green of Newport, TN and two sisters, Linda Hatfield of Nokesville, VA and Gloria West of Manassas Park, VA. Jack also leaves behind 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended relatives; and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colchester Free Will Baptist Church, 10405 Shaffer Lane, Nokesville, Virginia 20181 where services will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
