Obituary for James Jessie Zimbro
James J. Zimbro,88, of Phenix City, Alabama, died at home on Saturday, January 2, 2021.
He was the husband of Arizona Zimbro, who survives. Also surviving are 5 daughters, Gayle Miller, Dawn Suehring, Debbra Monk, Melody Culotta, and Sheryl Pritchard; 2 sisters, Virgie Mitchell and Neta Abel; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were one son, James J. Zimbro, II and one daughter, Tammy Leah Ross.
James was in the United States Navy from December 17, 1951 to December 16, 1955. He was stationed at Little Creek in Norfolk, Virginia. After the military, he worked for Safeway Food Stores. Later, he received his
plumbing certification and began working in maintenance.
Graveside Funeral services and Interment will take place on Friday, January 15, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, Virginia with Rev. Dallas Slemp officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
