Jane Louise (nee Insull) Horan passed away on May 6, 2019 at the NOVANT Haymarket Hospital.

She was born on January 19, 1926 in Town of Baldwin, upstate New York to Samuel and Jennie Insull. She spent most of her childhood years in Elmira, NY. She was married to Col. Edwin Horan, USAF (retired), for sixty three years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, William V. Horan and his wife, Cathy; her daughter, Cynthia J. Dove; and 4 grandsons, Lt. Kevin J. Dove, Jeffrey Horan, CWO Maxwell Dove, and William Horan. Also surviving is one great-granddaughter, Genevieve Dove.

Jane was an RN graduate of Wilmington Hospital School of Nursing in Delaware. In the early fifties she was a RN and flight nurse in the U.S. Air Force. As an Air Force wife, she lived at many AF bases and went to Bolivia, S.A., where she was involved as an RN. After retirement as an Air Force wife, she lived at Evergreen, near Haymarket, VA for the last thirty eight years where she maintained the family home and was a visiting nurse.

She will be laid to rest, with graveside services, at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
