Obituary for Joan Mull Gulick

Joan M. Gulick, 76, of Reston, formerly of Manassas, passed away April 22, 2008 at INOVA Cameron Glen Care Center.

Born October 3, 1931 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Walter R. Mull and Dorothy Chesser Mull. On August 29th, 1953 in Arlington, VA, she married Richard G. “Dick” Gulick, who survives.

Mrs. Gulick was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas where she worked as an assistant in the administrative office. She also was a volunteer at the Volunteers In Parks Program (Wolf Trap), Prince William Hospital, Historic Manassas, Inc., and was a lifetime member of the INOVA Fairfax Hospital Auxiliary.

Besides her beloved husband of 54 years, Joan is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Pullen and her husband David of Chantilly; Meg Gulick and her finance Tom of West Chester, PA; Peggy Crutcher of Centreville; one brother, Rodney Mull and his wife Heather of Virginia; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 28th, 2008 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas. A Celebration of Joan’s Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rudy Tucker, Jr. and the Rev. Meredith McNabb officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the fellowship hall of the church.

Private inurnment will take place at a later date in the Columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
