Condolence: To the Kohlhaas family,
I had the privilege of working with John at Oracle over the years. He was admired for many things. John was calm and steady, down to earth, and had an amazing ability to find humor in even the most trying of circumstances. John deeply cherished the time he spent with you, his family. Condolences and Best Wishes to you each.

Condolence: Dear Kohlhaas Family,

I've had the privilege of not only working with John at SunMicrosystems for 12 years but also his amazing son Kevin for many years at SBS. John was an exceptional co-worker and friend. Always so kind, caring, and devoted to making our world at Sun and our world as a whole a better place! I'm so thankful I knew him and that I've got to know several members of his family. The apples did not fall from the tree! Your family is so beautiful and very loved and has been a tremendous blessing in my life. Our prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May God surround you with his peace and love.

Condolence: Dear Joanne & Family,

I was so sorry to hear about John. I've known John for many years beginning at Sun Microsystems continuing with Oracle. John was my travel partner the past few years when we had staff meetings out of town. We were always on the same United flights. I enjoyed talking with John about his family and all the fun times you all had at the Outer Banks each summer. He loved you all dearly and especially the grand-kids and spoiling them. John was an amazing friend and I'll miss him dearly. Cherish the loving memories that you'll carry in your hearts forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Condolence: I first met John in the late 90's. I was at Sun Microsystems - John at another company supporting a gov't program that I was supposed to be managing for Sun. It took me about 5 minutes to realize that John had forgot more about this stuff then I would ever learn and that he should come to work at Sun! Luckily for me and others he did. This began a couple of decades of being around one of the most kind and sincere and professional and generous people that I have ever known. He was a true "gentleman" in every sense of the word. "Gentle" in his dealings. Strong and righteous in his decisions and in his faith as a "Man". He taught me a lot professionally but even more about being be a good person. Our earthly world is a little darker with John's passing - but heaven is a whole bunch brighter.

Condolence: Dear Kohlhaas Family - I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I was one of the lucky ones who got to work with John for many years at Sun Microsystems. He was truly a great person and had a tremendous impact on all who got to know him. He spoke often of his family and traditions. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. May you find comfort in knowing he is with the lord.

Condolence: Dear Joanne and Family,
My sincere condolences to you all in the passing of John. I worked with your beloved husband at Sun Microsystems. I actually shared a space in the early days of our pulling together the Program Managers department for the Services division. We used to work on quirky projects for our meetings where we didn't have a lot of budget. And I remember him joking that he was home and telling his youngest son - I've got to get some things done for work, now let me borrow your crayons. John was the consummate gentlemen and professional. He was not only extremely bright and generous with his expertise, but he was one of the kindest persons ever. His passing leaves a tremendous void, but I'm joyous to read posts that he knew and prepared for his eternal life his relationship with our Lord and Savior. Please know that you and your family are in my earnest prayers.
