On August 5, 2012, Jonathan Lee Katz, Jr., son of Jonathan Sr. and Elizabeth, loving brother to Richard and Stephanie and proud brother-in-law to Christina Waller Katz, passed away peacefully after succumbing to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

Jonathan was an amazingly wonderful young man who touched all who knew him with his big heart, endless smile, delightful sense of humor, and "don't worry, be happy" personality. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout, was an accomplished musician, outdoorsman and an avid fisherman, spending many hours on the open sea with his father, brother, Uncle Mike and fellow fishing buddies. He leaves behind his loyal dog, Stella Blue, Grandma Patty Shipman and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 17th from 6:00-8:00 pm and on Saturday, August 18th from 12:00-1:00 pm at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A celebration of Jonathan’s life will begin at 1:00 pm in the chapel with a reception to follow in the funeral home community room.
