Obituary for Kenneth Lane "Cotton" Jenkins

Kenneth Lane "Cotton"  Jenkins
Kenneth Lane Jenkins “Cotton”, 59, of Stanley, passed away March 18, 2022, at the Page Memorial Hospital, Luray, VA.

Born January 22, 1963, in Manassas, VA, he was the son of the late Johnnie Preston Jenkins and Gertrude Baker Jenkins. On April 24, 2015, in Stanley, VA, he married the former Vanessa Dunford, who survives.
Mr. Jenkins was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He was also former Heavy Equipment Operator for Vulcan Materials Company in Centreville, VA.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, and one brother. Survivors include his loving wife, Vanessa Jenkins of Stanley; one daughter, Jennifer Hart, and her husband John of Front Royal; one son, Kenneth L. Jenkins, Jr. of Luray; 2 step daughters Carolann Shipe and her husband Andrew of Bealeton; Danielle Sitko and her husband Jeremy of Germany; one brother, Michael L. Jenkins, and his wife Brenda of Manassas; one sister, Donna M. Bailey and her husband Edward of Warrenton; four grandchildren, Princeton Jenkins, Kamryn Jenkins, Aubree Hart and Caison Hart; and 2 Step Grandchildren Aiden Sitko and Maeve Sitko.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A celebration of Kenny’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Joshua Lane officiating.

Interment will take place in Brightview Cemetery, Warrenton, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org; or to the charity of your choice.
